Blasters - 28-Nov - Partially Cancelled

I have been in chats with the team at Peninsula Cricket Club (PCC) this morning about the ground state of Filmer Park after all of the storms we have had and whether we can run Blasters.  The main field has had a lot of rain on it and it's soaked to the point where the water isn't getting away very fast.  It wasn't great when I was at the clubhouse on Wednesday but has become worse since then.  The decision between the two clubs is that the field isn't suitable for us to run Blasters.

We are going to take a slightly different take on Blasters tonight.  What does that mean:

- Junior Blasters - CANCELLED. There isn't much I can do here as we need access to a fair portion of the main field and there isn't enough that is in a playable state for me to be able to run a session.

- Master Blasters - We are not going to run a match tonight.  Instead we are going to do an optional net session starting at 6pm where we can do some work on our Batting and Bowling skills.  This will be a Master Blasters only session to ensure the safety of our Blasters.  It will be in the nets on the far side of the club house.  If you would like to come down and participate in our net session you are more than welcome to.  The canteen will be open.  Can you please email me know if you are planning on heading down for our nets session so we can get a feel for how many Master Blasters will be there.

Sorry about having to cancel our regular Blasters sessions, we don't take these decisions lightly as we want the Blasters out playing cricket as much as we can.  I look forward to our last week of Blasters for the season (next Friday), it is always a great session.
