Redcliffe City Cyclones U11 Devine had a good win today against Pine Rivers CC U11, we lost the bat flip and were asked to bat first scoring 6/141 off our 25 overs. Our openers Mia & Karlie got us off to a good start with excellent running well judged singles and turning ones into twos when the opportunity presented itself and both retiring Not Out. We had reached 0/84 at drinks after 13 overs with five batters retired not out, when we played this same team in the first game post Christmas they bowled us out for 56 in 9.2 overs what a great improvement in the last eight weeks. Well done Oliver 36 (24) and Alex 17 (18) his highest score of the season. We restricted Pine Rivers U11 to 6/108 from their 25 overs for a great win. We had them in trouble early at 5/26 after 7 overs with five of our bowlers taking a wicket in their first over what a great bowling display again by the whole team. We had two players of the match Alex for his 17 from 18 balls and 1 for 7 off his two overs and Mason for excellent fielding and overall improvement. Well done Devines 4 wins and a tie in the 7 games this year, hope to see you all back next season.
